Julie Zulich

President & CEO

Julie Zulich is President and CEO of TESC Contracting Company Ltd., a leading provider of integrated construction services in Northern Ontario. Founded in 1976, TESC employs 300 + people and partners with clients on Industrial, Infrastructure, and Institutional projects, the more challenging the better. Julie is forging the next chapter of growth for TESC’s hard earned reputation as being ready for anything. 

As CEO, Julie steers the TESC executive team and Advisory Board with a leadership style that is open, inquisitive, and honest. By prioritizing talent development and insightfully challenging the status quo, the organization is realizing record profitability and deepening loyal client and trade relationships. 

Julie knows the industry inside out, having spent 20+ years in a variety of leadership roles and growing up as the daughter of TESC’s original founder. Prior to that, she sharpened her customer service philosophy while running a Second Cup franchise model after graduating with honours from Laurentian’s Commerce program. Other certifications include Effective Leadership Development Certificate, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner Certification, and Collaborative Leadership: Building Job Site Leaders. 

Sudbury is the community where Julie works, lives, raised her 3 children, and now enthusiastically participates in diversity & inclusion advocacy groups and local volunteer organizations:

  • Elected First Chair of the Women in Mechanical Construction (WIMC), a committee of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) that offers a forum for female professionals in the industry
  • Appointed the first female board member of the MCAC and of the Electrical Contractors Association of Northern Ontario (ECANO) 
  • Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) Pipetrade Committee Representative 
  • Board of Directors for the Kivi Park Community Foundation
  • Second Chair United Way Centraide North East Ontario
  • Chair and active Board Member of the Sudbury Chapter of Hope’s Eating Disorder Support Services.

Julie believes in living your values, creating a shared legacy, and that the secret sauce to accomplishing anything is equal parts skill, grit, and the golden rule. When she is off duty, Julie is a self described customer service junkie and loves adventure travel.
